Термин используется для обозначения тела вращения вокруг оси машины, на периферийных концах лобовых частей обмотки групп катушек концентрической обмотки, на каждом конце машины.

A term used to denote a solid of revolution around the axis of a machine, at the peripheral extremities of the end windings of groups of coils of a concentric winding, at each end of the machine.
Note
A concentric winding is said to have one, two or more tiers according to the number of these solids of revolution.

Terme utilisé pour désigner un solide de révolution autour de l'axe d'une machine, aux parties périphériques des développantes de groupes de bobines d'un enroulement concentrique, à chaque extrémité de la machine.
Note
Un enroulement concentrique est dit posséder un, deux ou plusieurs plans conformément au nombre de ces solides de révolution.
