EN	regioselectivity Descriptive of a reaction that proceeds by a unique course even though more than one course is formally possible, e.g. an addition that occurs at only one atom of an unsymmetrical olefin; contrasted with regioselective, in which the reaction shows merely a preference for one course over another; and with stereospecific, in which the reaction produces one diastereoisomer rather than another.
