изотермический вагон
Крытый вагон, кузов которого имеет термоизолирующие стенки, двери, пол и крышу, что ограничивает теплообмен между внутренней и наружной поверхностью кузова таким образом, чтобы по общему коэффициенту теплопередачи (коэффициент K) транспортное средство могло быть отнесено к одной из двух следующих категорий:
IN = Обычное изотермическое транспортное средство, характеризующееся коэффициентом K, не превышающим 0,7 Вт/м2 °С
IR = Изотермическое транспортное средство с усиленной изоляцией, характеризующееся коэффициентом K, не превышающим 0,4 Вт/м2 °С

insulated wagon
Covered wagon the body of which is built with insulating walls, doors, floor and roof, to limit heat exchange between the interior of the wagon and the outside so that the overall coefficient of heat transfer (K coefficient), allows the equipment to be assigned to one or other of the following two categories:
- IN = Normally insulated: characterized b - y a K coefficient equal to or less than 0.7 W/m 2°C
- IR = Heavily insulated: characterized by a K coefficient equal to or less than 0.4 W/m 2°C.

Thermoswagen
Gedeckter Wagen, dessen Wände, Türen, Boden und Dach zur Verringerung des Wärmeaustauschs isoliert sind. Entsprechend der allgemeinen Wärmedurchgangszahl (KKoeffizient) wird die Isolierausrüstung einer der beiden folgenden Kategorien zugeordnet:
- IN = normal isolierende Ausrüstung: K-Koeffizient ≤ 0,7 W/m² °C
- IR = hoch isolierende Ausrüstung: K-Koeffizient ≤ 0,4 W/m² °C

Wagon couvert dont la caisse est construite avec des parois isolantes, y compris les portes, le plancher et la toiture, permettant de limiter les échanges de chaleur entre l'intérieur et l'extérieur de la caisse de telle façon que le coefficient global de transmission thermique (coefficient K) puisse faire entrer le wagon dans l'une des deux catégories suivantes:
- IN = Wagon isotherme normal – caractérisé par un coefficient K égal ou inférieur à 0,7 W/m2°C
- IR = Wagon isotherme renforcé – caractérisé par un coefficient K égal ou inférieur à 0,4 W/m2°C.

Il carro coperto la cui cassa è costituita da pareti termoisolanti, incluse le porte, il pavimento e il tetto, per limitare lo scambio di calore tra l'interno e l'esterno in modo che, in base al coefficiente globale di trasmissione termica (coefficiente K), il carro possa essere incluso in una delle seguenti due categorie:
- IN = carro isotermico normale: caratterizzato da un coefficiente K uguale o inferiore a 0,7 W/m 2 oC
- = carro isotermico rinforzato: caratterizzato da un coefficiente K uguale o inferiore a 0,4 W/m 2 oC.

Vagón cubierto cuya caja está construida con paredes, puertas, suelo y techo para limitar los cambios de calor entre el interior y el exterior de la caja de manera que el coeficiente global de transmisión térmica (coeficiente K) permita que el equipo se pueda clasificar en una de las dos categorías siguientes:
- IN = isotérmico normal: caracterizado por un coeficiente K inferior o igual a 0,7 W/m 2 oC
- IR = isotérmico de gran aislamiento: caracterizado por un coeficiente K inferior o igual a 0,4 W/m 2 oC
