Примечание. Это определение подразумевает, что ток включается идеальным коммутационным аппаратом, т. е. с мгновенным переходом от бесконечного к нулевому значению полного сопротивления. Для цепей, в которых ток может проходить по нескольким различным путям, например многофазных цепей, предполагается также, что ток включается одновременно во всех полюсах, даже если рассматривается ток только в одном полюсе.

NOTE – The definition assumes that the current is made by an ideal switching device, i.e. with instantaneous transition from infinite to zero impedance. For circuits where the current can follow several different paths, e.g. polyphase circuits, it further assumes that the current is made simultaneously in all poles, even if only the current in one pole is considered.
