Сеть Европейского Союза по исполнению и применению законов об охране окружающей среды (IMPEL) − это неофициальная сеть государственных природоохранных органов стран-членов Европейского Союза. IMPEL стремится создать в Европейском Союзе необходимые стимулы (включая возможность вступления в будущем) для того, чтобы добиться успеха в обеспечении более эффективного исполнения экологического законодательства. Сеть содействует обмену информацией и опытом, а также сближению подходов к исполнению и контролю за соблюдением законодательства, делая особый акцент на экологическое законодательство ЕС. В недавнем прошлом существовала параллельная сеть − ACIMPEL – для стран−кандидатов в члены ЕС. IMPEL
The European Union Network for the Implementation and Enforcement of Environmental Law (IMPEL) is an informal Network of the environmental authorities of the Member States of the European Union. The objectives of IMPEL are to create the necessary impetus in the European Community (including the potential future membership) to make progress on ensuring a more effective application of environmental legislation. The Network promotes the exchange of information and experience and the development of a greater consistency of approach in the implementation, application and enforcement of environmental legislation, with a special emphasis on Community environmental legislation. There used to be a parallel network − AC-IMPEL − for the benefit of the candidate countries for membership of the EU, but this merged with IMPEL.
